A little bit about me.
I am a 25 year old learner, writer, artist, baker, mother, reader, dream chaser, and best of all concert performer (in the shower).
I have always had a passion for art, and as I aged, I got more and more into combining that with writing. In my younger years, I would keep journals, mostly stupid stuff about school or about crushes until I got a little older I started expanding into short stories and poetry– which led me to receive the Scholastic Gold Key of Excellence and Honorable Mention of 2017 and soon there after publish a poetry book. (I don’t sell copies of this book, but just know–I did the damn thing all before I graduated high school!)
I believe that everyone has their things that they are good at, and things they are bad at, and in the middle, things they can always learn to be good at. For me, school was something I always enjoyed–still to this day, three degrees later, I still love to learn and debate going back to school everyday. However, Math sucks, really bad in that department–pretty much after middle school that was just complicated alphabet soup from me.
With that being said, I have not stopped learning and expanding my hobbies. I wanted to start a blog to expand on things that I have learned, places I have been, hobbies I am exploring, and things I like– all while digging into a creative outlet.
Some of the topics I plan on covering on this blog are:
- Recipes, I love to cook and bake, but to add to my credibility, people love to eat what I cook and bake
- Doula Diaries: a section of my website dedicated to the knowledge I have gained learning more about the women reproductive system, pregnancy and childbirth, and from Doula sources as I intend to continue my certification after giving birth to my child
- My pregnancy story: a bit about what pregnancy was like for me, tips and tricks, and must haves
- New hobbies or topics I learn about: For example, learning how to create a website– if you haven’t read that article on my page and you want to learn how you can here.
- Places I have traveled, tried, and reviewed
I am excited to have a place to express myself, keep track of my own growth, and maybe some day, have a platform that people are excited to read from!
